IN ADDING...
On a number line,
    • when you add positive integers, move to the right.
    • when you add negative integers, move to the left.

IN SUBTRACTING...
  • Subtracting negative integers = Adding positive integers
    • Adding negative integers = Subtracting positive integers

here i'll give you example: (-3)+(4)=1
why????
because when you add numbers with different sign you need to proceed to subtraction and copy the sign of the number that is bigger.

Subtracting same signs:
(-10) - (-11)= (-21)
why????
because when you subtract numbers with same sign the sign is always the sign that you are using.

Subtracting unlike signs:
(-10)-(6)=(-16)
why????
because when you subtract negative and positive you have to change the operation to addition. Subtraction to additon
then also change the sign of the last number. 6 become (-6)
and then proceed to addition
