Given:
A(5,0)
B(-2,-7)
 r_{A} =3
 r_{B} =7

Ratio: \frac{ r_{A} }{ r_{B} } = \frac{3}{7}

req'd:
P(x,y)

Formula:

 P_{x}= \frac{ A_{x}  r_{B} + B_{x}  r_{A} }{ r_{A} + r_{B} }

 P_{y}= \frac{ A_{y} r_{B} + B_{y} r_{A} }{ r_{A} + r_{B} }

Solution:

 P_{x}= \frac{ (5)(7) + (-2)(3) }{ 7 + 3 }

 P_{x} =2.9

 P_{y}= \frac{ (0)(7) + (-7)(3) }{ 7 + 3 }

 P_{x} =-0.7

P(2.9,-0.7)

what is the use of 3:7 ?
ratio. this 1
[tex] r_{A} =3[/tex]
[tex] r_{B} =7[/tex]
r sub a =3 , r sub b = 7
Ahh . i understand a little
