Obviously YES, we call a certain thing as living things if it has life while non-living things if they don't. The other term for the term 'living thing' is 'biotic factor'. We can't call a certain thing as living things if they don't live.

Remember
:
 living things live while non-living things don't.

Examples for living things;
Plants
Human
Animals
Fungi
Bacteria; etc.

Hope it Helps =)

Additional: yes! Living things means having a life so, they have their own characterisirics according to biologist there are six characteristics of life, but according to me and on the other hand there are plenty of characteristic such as the cellular organization, the constant energy requirement , the ability to grow, the definite form and size range, capacity to reproduce , definite life span , ability to respond to stimuli, varation and adaptation...
All of that characteristics is what we known as the living things..
