Given that, (-8,6)
Since the x-intercept is twice the y-intercept, the line in question passes through (0,y) and (2y,0).
Therefore, it has slope = (y - 0)/(0 - 2y) = -1/2.
The equation for the line with slope = -1/2 and passing through (-8,6) is:
y - 6 = -1/2(x - -8)
y - 6 = x/2 - 4
y = -x/2 - 4+6
y= -x/2 +2


 the equation of the line is 
y= -x/2 +2
