No. A square has 4 equal sides and 4 90 degree angles. On the other hand, a rectangle has two OPPOSITE sides that are equal and 4 90 degree angles.

Both can be examples of a parallelogram but only the square can be called a rhombus (a figure with 4 equal sides and two opposite sides that are equal).

just remember that: square= 4 equal sides
                              rectangle = 2
