# Mr. Cayetano plans to install a new exhaust fan on his rooms square-shaped wall. He asked a carpenter to make a square opening on the wall where the exhaust fan will be installed. The square opening must have an area at 0.25squaremeter. 1. Draw a diagram to illustrate the given situation . 2.How are you going to represent the length of a side of the square-shaped wall ? How about its area ? 3.Suppose the area of the remaining part of the wall after the carpenter has made the square opening in 6msquaremeter. What equation would describe the area of the remaining part of the wall ? 4. How will you find the length of a side of the wall ?

2.)

let l be the length
let w be the width
let  be the total area of the square wall
let  be the area of the exhaust fan

3.)

let  be the area of the wall after the hole had been mayde

4.)

let s be the side of the square wall
to get the length of the side, we need to get the

formula for the area of square:

A = the square of the side

A = s²

Woo ! my answer is correct but my solution is wrong . Thnks so much Viles.
well in mathematics there are many ways to solve problems. like there are many ways to kill a cow.. hehehe
what does Letter A ,t stands for??
like A^t , A^1 and A^2 STANDS FOR??
AREA TOTAL
