False. Philippine legends are only the basis of the names of things,places, etc. but without Philippine legends some things wouldn't have names. Considering science of course it's not proven and backed up by scientific research because if it's proven by research it will be widely accepted by people and most of all the scientists. An example is the 'legend of the rainbow' its says that at the end of the rainbow there is a treasure, if there is really a treasure at the end of it most people would be rich by now.
