Then you just have to find the distance between the two opposite points.

d=√[(-2-(-2))²+(6-(-3))²]
d=√[(0)²+(9)²]
d=√[0+81]
d=√81
d=9

Length of the diagonal is 9 units.
(-2,6) in Quadrant II and (-2,-3) in Quadrant III are adjacent vertices/points. They form a side of the triangle, not diagonal :-)
** correction: they form a side of rectangle (not triangle)...

Points on opposite quadrants, when connected form the diagonals of the rectangle.
Its diagonals are congruent.

Points/Vertices (10, 6) and (-2, -3) are opposites.
