The diaphragm contracts :)

and then when exhaling, the diaphragm relaxes :)
When you breathe out the Intercostal muscles relax, lowering the ribcage and making the chest smaller. Diaphragm relaxes (bulges up) this makes the chest smaller Lungs are compressed as the chest gets smaller so air is pushed out of the lungs.

When you inhale , the diaphragm will expand or makes our lungs get 'Low preasure' so all air will directly gets in to our lungs :p

When you exhale , the diaphragm will return to its default size :) and release all unused air(yung mga hangin na sobra at wala nang lugar :p)
