The egg laying mammal are called Monotremes .... There are only five living monotremes today: the duck-billed platypus, and 4 species of echidna. I do not know much about echidnas but I only know that they are also known as spiny anteaters. They are all found only in Australia and  New Guinea. These echidnas can live for more than 50 years.
