Formula:

2 (radius) + 1/4 (circumference of the circle)

= 2 (r) + 1/4 (2 π r)

Example:

Find the perimeter of the quarter of a circle if the radius is 5 cm.

= 2 (5 cm) + 1/4 (2 × 3.14 × 5 cm)

= 10 cm + 1/4 (31.4 cm)

= 10 cm + 7.85 cm

= 17.85 cm.

Note:  The perimeter of a circle is called circumference, the distance around the circle.
