Assuming you are not aware that you can create a pie chart using Excel.

Steps:
1)  Group your data (quantitative data) into categories.
     Example: If your thesis is about average monthly household expenses of sample data of family below poverty threshold in Malabon (in Pesos):
     Food expenses = 2,500
     Transportation = 2,000
     Rent = 800
     Others = 1,200

2)  Find the total of the expenses.
     In the example above:  6,500

3)  Divide each category by the total, to get the value in decimal:
     Food = 2,500 ÷ 6,500 = 0.39
     Transportation = 2,000 ÷ 6,500 = 0.31
     REnt = 800 ÷ 6,500 = 0.12
     Others = 1,200 ÷ 6,500 = 0.18

     The total should be 1.00.

4)  The pie chart is a circle, and it has a full 360 degrees full/complete angle.
     Multiply each decimal number per category by 360 to get the measurement        of each angle that correspond to each category:
     In example:
     Food = 0.39 × 360 = 140.4 or  140 degrees
     Transportation = 0.31 × 360 =  111.6 or 112 degrees
     Rent = 0.12 x 360 = 43.2 degrees or 43 degrees
     Others = 64.8 degrees  or 65 degrees

5)  Draw a draft using the angle measurements.  Then use Excel application.  by entering the values needed.

Add colors to each category.
