1)   ∠A = 3x
      ∠B = 5x

Equation:
   3x + 5x = 120
   8x = 120
   8x/8 = 120/8
   x = 15

The measure of each angle:
   ∠A = 3 (15) = 45°
   ∠B = 5 (15) = 75°

ANSWER: m∠A = 45°     and     m∠B = 75°

2)  m∠1 = 38° (smallest angle)
     m∠2 = (38°÷2) × 3 = 19° x 3 = 57°
     m∠3 = (19°) x 4 = 76°

Sum of the three angles:
   = 38° + 57° + 76°
   = 171°

The sum of the thee angles is 171
°.
