Let the two parts of 27 be x and 27 - x.

The product of the two parts is 92.
∴x ( 27 - x ) = 92
∴27x - x² = 92
∴x² - 27x + 92 = 0
∴x² - 4x - 23x + 92 = 0
∴x(x - 4) - 23(x - 4) = 0
∴(x - 4)(x - 23) = 0
∴x - 4 = 0   or   x - 23 = 0
∴x = 4    or   x = 23

If x = 4
then 27 - x = 27 - 4 = 23

If x = 23,
then 27 - x = 27 - 23 = 4.
Thus, the two parts of 27 are  4 and 23.
