Commutative is the law that says you can swap numbers around and still get the same answer.

Commutative Law for Addition.
examples:
6+5 = 11 if you swap the position of 6 and 5 you still get the same answer.
6+5 = 5+6
11 = 11 

11+12 = 23 try to swap them and you will get 23.
11+12 = 12+11
23 = 23
