Education in Singapore is world-leading and the government spend 20% of budget on education. It is compulsory for all citizens and almost all school subjects are taught in English (except of literature and history of mother tongues).
School system is divided into kindergarten, primary education, secondary education, pre-university and vacational education. 

Singapore has 4 official languages: English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. It is a cosmopolitan place, a true mix of culture.

Singaporean literature is written in all this languages. The most famous writers are Aaron Lee, Grace Chia, Don Bosco, Colin Cheong, Goh Poh Seng, Russel Lee, Catherine Lim, Rex Shelley, Tan Swie Hian and more.
