On continental-oceanic plate A bends downward (subduction process) since it is denser than Plate B. Plate A's leading edge will melt because of the high temperature of the mantle melting it into magma.

In oceanic-oceanic Plate B undergoes subduction process causing earthquakes and formation of trenches

In continental-continental they both will bend upwards forming mountain or mountain ranges
