The Glossopteris fossils tell us that the early position of the continents were once in a large landmass since the seeds of the plant cannot possibly travel into the sea or even carried on the wind for it to grow on different continents. Furthermore, the fossils of the plant were also found in Antartica, with very low temperature. It is not possible for the plant to grow in such climate. So it could be that the Antartica was once a tropical continent and was not located in the location it used to be as of now.
