Solving for cube root does not mean dividing the number by 3, but dividing a given number by perfect cube numbers 8, 27, 64, 125, ...

Example:
 \sqrt[3]{250}

Factor 250 where one of the factors is a perfect cube.  In this case 125

 \sqrt[3]{(125)(2)}

cube root of 125 = 5

Therefore:

5 \sqrt[3]{2}
