No.  If the quadratic equation has no middle term (that is, bx), solve it by extracting the roots.

Remember that if the equation is in the form ax² + c = 0, solve by extracting the roots.

Extracting the roots:

4x² - 9 = 0

4x² = 9

4x²/4 = 9/4

x² = 9/4

 \sqrt{ x^{2} } =  \sqrt{ \frac{9}{4} } 


x = +3/2,  -3/2
