When you pushed a strips of clay at there opposite ends it forms a lump at the center a it also described how mountain rages form by earthquake there 3 types of plate movement during an earthquake 1. convergent= where the 2 plates ( continental- oceanic or continental- continental,and oceanic- oceanic) ➡↩move towards each other which form a mountain rages on continental or island and also volcanic island arc 2. divergent- moving away from each other which can form a cliff 3. transform- it doesn't affect much of the soil but it slides the plate up and down
