Step 1 : get the GCF of the numbers or numerical coeficient ( in the given 3 is the GCF )..(if there is no common do the step 2.)
Step 2 : If there is common with the variable, get the smallest common of the variables ( in the given variable m is the smallest factor ) (..(if there is still no common then it's not a monomial factor)
Step 3 : combine 3 and m so,it's 3m..
Step 4 :  3m divided by 6m = 2
       3m divided by 12m^{2}= 4m
Step 5: = 3m( 2 + 4m )
