To find the dimensions of a rectangle given the area & perimeter first step find the factors of 36 = 2,2,3,3 the dimensions are found within the combination of the factors I am unable to find a combination to add up to a perimeter of 50 I believe the figure is wrong

let us assume the perimeter is 40 thus the dimensions are 2 * 18 = 36 which is the area p = (2*2) + (18*2) = 40
