The sequence is:

1/2,  a₂,  a₃,  4

The missing terms (two geometric means) are a₂ and a₃.

Step 1:  Find the ratio, r.
             r = 2

Step 2:  Find the a₂ and a₃
a₂ = a₁ (r)
a₂ = 1/2 (2)
a₂ = 1

 a₃ = a₂ (r)
 a₃ = 1 (2)
 a₃ = 2

ANSWER:  The two geometric means are 1 and 2.

The sequence is:  1/2,  1,  2,  4
