Convergent,Divergent, and Transform Boundaries. In the theory of plate tectonics, the earth's crust is broken into plates that move around relative to each other. As a result of this movement, three types of plate boundaries are formed:divergentconvergent, and transformboundaries.

These are the three distinct types of plate boundaries. First, Divergent plate boundary is a region where the crustal plates are moving apart. Second, Convergent plate boundary is a boundary in which plates move toward each other. While the third one or the last was the Transform fault boundary is a boundary that two plates slide past each other.
