My answer would be no. This is because even when they sacrificed their lives the generations that came next doesn't care about what they did since for them, they are just another lesson for history to note. And moreover, what the heroes fought for are not being taken care by us thus, representing that we truly are not justifying nor even caring for what they thought was important and a certain necessity in the future.
