or a double angle formula...in other words an acute angle form in the lower base is just the same angle in the upper..means this can be considered as an isosceles triangle. where in the two sides are in 8 inches..;

im sorry i can't draw this time;

hence; finding the heigth is= h^2=8^2 -4^2;

h=\/ 64 -16;

h=\/48;

A=1/2[8+16]H
