A basketball player throws a ball from the ground t second is given by the expression 100t-16t^2

what is the distance of thee ball from the ground

how many seconds it will it take off for the ball to fall to the ground?

do you thuink the ball can reach the height of 160ft?why or why not?

2.
100t - 16t^2 = 0
4t ( 25 - 4t ) = 0
4t = 0..........t = 0
25 - 4t = 0......... 4t = 25 ......... t = 25/4

so it will take 25/4s for the ball to reach the ground

i didnt understand the rest

I think your question also falls in physics category..... To find the distance, multiply time and velocity due to gravity "d=gt". g is always 9.8 m/s^2 and t =25/4( from the equation 100t-16t^2=0). So distance = 9.8 × (25/4)=61.25 meters.
