Valence electrons lie in the outermost electron shell of an element. btw you can find it by using the the bohr model
0 0 0
then, we will proceed to the bohr model, the ground state around it the K,L,M,N,O,P,Q lets begin with the K it can only hold a maximum of 2 electrons, L can hold 8 ........ and bcoz our element oxygen has 8 electrons... the first orbital K holds the 2 electrons, then the remaining are 6..
then we'll proceed to the 2nd orbital bcoz then may 6 na natitira pang electrons so we will put it on the 2nd orbital and it can accommodate 8 electrons at dahil 6 nlng na electrons ang natitira so the valence electron of oxygen is 6...
any further questions? :)
Thank you very much. ^_^ I tried it already. I'm almost done with my assignments. Thank you very much. God bless you. ^_^
welcome ;)))
