I'm sorry to say but, we can't solve 24x + 36, it's because it's just simply an expression unless we equate it to any numbers or zero. If that's equate to zero, and we bound to solve the value of x, the solution would go like this:
24x + 36 = 0           ( transpose 36 to the other side)
24 x = -36               (divide both sides by 24 )
x = -36/24                (Simplify the fraction)
x = -3/2                That would be the answer if and only if the expression equate to zero.
