My parents gathered 39 eggs in total. For every 6 eggs that my mother gathered, my father gathered 7. How many eggs will each bring home?
1.) 39 is divisible by 13, so suppose my parents only gathered 13 eggs in all. In this case, my mother would get 7 while my father would get 6.
Solution:
   Let n be 13.
=   7n + 6n = 39
=   13n = 39
=    n = \frac{39}{13}
=   3

Partitve proportion:
example:
The ratio of apples to bananas to oranges is 3:4:6 if there are 39 fruits in the basket how many are apples bananas and oranges?

Solution:
3:4:6 add all the digits
3+4+6=13 then make 13 as their denominator
ex.
3/13 4/13 6/13 then,divide 39 to the denominator and the numerators like (39/13)x3=9 (39/13)x4=12 (39/13)x6=18 so 9+12+18=39 so there are 9 apples 12 bananas and 18 oranges hope this answer your question.
