The Respiratory System is one of the organ systems that work together in our body for us to survive. The Respiratory System is involve in exchange of gases. Because of Respiratory System, we take in oxygen, and then, we exhale carbon dioxide. This is exchange of gases is important because if we don't inhale oxygen, the cells will die because they will not be nurtured and they will not be able to undergo Cellular Respiration. If we don't exhale carbon dioxide, our body will be poisoned because this waste will fill our bodies causing us to suffocate and eventually die. The parts of Respiratory System based on what I can recall, are the:
1.) Lungs
2.) Trachea (windpipe)
3.) Larynx
4.) Pharynx
5.) Nose
6.) Bronchi
7.) Alveoli
and others I forgot...
The Respiratory System works with the Circulatory system effectively.
